Results for May 18 – 2 New Records

Despite the relatively low turnout due to a number of concurrent events, we have had 2 new records today. In fact, the two records were so much faster than the previous record times that I questioned the notes of our awesome timing crew (sorry, nothing personal!).

Local pro Kirk Carlsen obliterated the ancient record by Bernard van Ulden in the ITT Men’s category from 2005 (!) by 34 seconds (!!), and all that while smiling for his sponsor photo-shoot. Kelli King came a huge step closer to her goal of breaking the hour on her handcycle and beat her own record by precisely 3:30 minutes, down to the millisecond (Kelli is more precise than a Swiss stop-watch!). And finally, an honorable mention goes to Phillip Plath who missed his own leaderboard entry by 1 second on his low-racer recumbent.

The full list of results, sorted by category, can be found here, and by overall time here.
